I think that there is more area in the south because they had more farms and plantations they needed to use. Another reason why the south had more area than the north might have been because the southern was more powerful and popular than the north.
The Southern colonies had more area because it was warmer and they had to have more farm land so that they can eat their crops. The Northern colonies have less area because it was colder and they couldn’t grow crops.
I think the southeren colonies have more area then the northen because down in the south people had all the land they wanted so they could spread there colonie as far as they wanted and unlike the northern you couldn’t because the ocean was close to them and didn’t leave much space to spread the land. Also I think the land in the south is bigger because the soil is rich for farming and in the north the land is always wet and would kill the crops. Dora
I think that the southern had more area because they weren’t limited like the northern part because there was water all around the northern part but unlike the southern they still had more than half of the U.S for land. Also they needed more heat to grow crops so they can have food. Usually with the warm heat near the south there is good soil to plant any kind of crops. The Northern Colonies and the South Colonies are different.They are different because the Southern has more land than the Northern. I think the Southern Colonies has more area than the Northern because they have more people to work on the crops. And because the Nortern has less people to work on for the crops. The other reason is the Southern has warmer temperture. And the Nothern has colder temperture.--CUTIE--
